Two Coat Sunday at St Columba’s

Sunday 25 October 2026

We held a Two Coat Sunday service this morning, with members of the congregation bringing new school coats to donate to local children.

The coats, which lined the side of the church during the 10am service, were collected in support of Kids Love Clothes, a volunteer-led charity based in Ratho which provides clothing for children and families across the Lothians.

The charity works with a team of trustees and volunteers to support families experiencing financial difficulties. Providing essential clothing can help relieve some of the pressure on household budgets, particularly as the colder months approach.

The Two Coat Sunday initiative was an opportunity to support this local charity in a practical way, helping to provide warm school coats for children who need them.

Thank you to everyone who brought a coat or made a donation.
